Psalm 55:22 :- "Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall." (NIV)
Sometimes it feels so strange that we carry heavy loads on ourselves, even though Jesus has asked us to cast our burdens on him. Often in life even though we are aware of what the scripture speaks, it is so true that we are not ready to lay down our burden at the cross, we are so attached to the luggage’s that we carry that we are too not interested in laying them down at his feet.
We carry the luggage as a back pack down to the cross of Calvary and stand there looking at the cross and speaking out loud “Thank you lord, thank you for helping me reach here to your presence, I didn’t think I could make it out here"
Then we stand and wait there with the luggage, Jesus looks down at us and expects us to throw the luggage down and shout "I'm Free", but most of us would stand their like a small child who does not want to give away his teddy. We end up being so emotionaly attached to the luggage we carry, that we cannot detach ourselves from the luggage.
Friends, just as it is important that we carry our luggage’s that burden us to him, it is also important that we cast it there in his presence. Let us learn to do away with our luggages, let us learn to be free...
So sing aloud “I’m FREE"
